The New England Patriots battled with the winless Miami Dolphins this past Sunday. These two AFC East rivals played against each other with both teams in different directions. The Patriots hadn't lost a game this year, while the Dolphins hadn't came out on top. As it turns out, the favorite won in a convincing fashion. New England's quarterback Tom Brady scorched the Miami defense while the Dolphins lost running back Ronnie Brown to injury.
The Colts did their part to keep their season perfect by slaughtering their AFC South rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars, 22-7. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning threw a few interceptions but was able to make the big plays, while Adam Vinatieri, their kicker, was clutch as always.
In the NFC, The New York Giants defeated the San Francisco 49ers 33-15. Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Amani Toomer, and running Brandon Jacobs scored a rushing touchdown. Their defense remains dominating as defensive end Michael Strahan had a sack, and Osi Umenyiora returned a fumble for a touchdown. The Giants improved to 5-2 while Dallas' win over Minnesota keeps them one game ahead of the G-men. The Washington Redskins hung on to beat the Arizona Cardinals, so they are just a game and a half out of first place in the NFC East. The action continues next week!!
