Week three of the NFL season had a few surprises. There was no controversy, just some great games of football. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Chicago Bears in the primetime game. With the victory, many people believe that "America's Team" is the favorite in the NFC.

One team that has been a huge surprise has been Brett Favre's Green Bay Packers. They are also 3-0. Green Bay scored a huge upset win against the San Diego Chargers. The game came down to the closing seconds but Farve was clutch and the defense made the big stop to seal the victory.

The Giants finally got their first victory of the season by defeating their NFC East rival, the Washington Redskins 24-17. The loss was Washington's first loss of this young season. The Giants were down 17-3 at halftime but their defense completely shut down Washington in the second half. Eli Manning threw the game winning TD pass to Plaxico Burress. Washington had one last chance at the goal line but was stuffed by the defense of the G-Men.

In Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb threw for over 400 yards as the Eagles earned their first win over the undefeated Lions.

In the AFC, the Patriots remained undefeated by slaughtering their AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills. Some say that the Patriots could go undefeated this year. Right now they are the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

The Jets got their first victory by winning a nail-biter against the Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins are still searching for their first win of the season, while the Jets will try to build some momentum.
